From Concept to App Store in Under 7 Hours: Building an MVP with AI

To test the current limits of AI in software development, I recently built and deployed a new iOS app. It is officially live on the App Store today, and the metrics behind this launch highlight a massive paradigm shift in our industry: • Development: Built 100% using AI. • Execution Time: Required a maximum of 2 hours of active work. • Review Process: Apple reviewed and approved the app in just 5 hours.

Taking a product from an idea to a live market release in under 7 hours (Time-to-Market) is unprecedented. However, rapid prototyping comes with its trade-offs. Because I relied entirely on AI to ship at lightning speed, this V1 release has some mobile UI inconsistencies and minor bugs. This experiment reinforced a critical lesson: AI is an incredible accelerator for building foundational architecture, but human oversight remains essential for refining the user experience (UX) and ensuring stability.
